It is very affordable to live in Italy. Some think it’s very expensive, of course it all depends on your lifestyle and where you choose.

Decisions on where to live in the picture postcard surroundings of Italy may prove difficult. You may prefer the quiet peaceful spectacular backdrop of the Northern Italian Lakes or the vineyards of Tuscany.

You may prefer the fabulous architecture and hussle and bussle  in the major cities like Rome, Florence or Verona.  You may love to live in the breathtaking mysterious city of Venice with its boats rather than cars as transport.  Wherever you decide to live cities are always going to be more expensive than the more rural areas.

There is also southern Italy and the Island of Capri with its designer shops and fabulous cliff top sea views.

The east coast is becoming more popular with its sandy beaches.  The locals choose Rimini as their holiday destination.  However, you’ll need to take your phrase book as Italian is spoken all the time.

The western Islands of Sardinia and Corsica are full of natural beauty. Everything from beaches to activities, these islands are popular in the summer months with tourists.
